Becoming a Convivial member means that you are contributing to the long-term running of The Convivial. It makes an almighty difference to us to know that there is regular income. Your regular donation will aid in the longevity of the project so we can continue putting on this smorgasbord of delights for Penryn.
How it works
After you become a member, you’ll be able to select ‘membership’ at checkout on any workshop or talk run by The Convivial itself (as opposed to external facilitators) for a cost-free ticket. You can also choose to add an additional donation at checkout if you’re feeling flush!
Your donation will go towards the core running costs of the space, including: admin and programming costs; upkeep; free learning programmes; and the provision of free tea, coffee and snacks in the space.
In 2026, we will also be building in an academic library in the space, which your membership will guarantee unlimited access to. Your donation will help to make expensive academic books available to everyone.
Finally, you’ll have an optional 4 hours of 1-2-1 mentoring per year with The Convivial host Sophie Craven, in which we can talk about your project ideas, academic research inquiry or creative development. You can read more about Sophie’s work here:
