What does it mean to be kind? And how might we fall back in love with the world around us? In a time when so much can feel overwhelming, what happens when we make time to notice the small moments of care, connection, and everyday magic that are already woven into our lives?

In this gentle, interactive workshop, we will explore the powerful act of kindness. Together, we’ll reflect on the kindness that has stayed with us, the words we long to hear when we are struggling, and the ways we can create our own ripple effect of care. Through conversation, reflection, and mindful practices, we’ll explore how kindness can become a way of reconnecting with ourselves, each other, and the wonderful world around us.

Inspired by The Falmouth Fairy initiative (spreading kindness across Cornwall, one Post-it note at a time), the second half of the workshop will invite you into an act of creative kindness through craftivism. We’ll create our own ‘nice notes’ – from folded messages and small tokens to tiny pieces of art – to share out into the world, offering moments of joy and connection to those who might need them.

A simple practice with the potential for a big impact; an invitation to slow down, notice the magic around us, and remember that kindness has the power to travel far beyond the moment it begins.

Let’s make time for magic.

There’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.’ - Scott Adams
